SCHOLASTIC BUSINESS SCHOOL BOOK FAIR
Ten year 5 children have taken the roles of senior managers and are planning what they call:
“The biggest and the best book fair of the century"
This event will be the culmination of a 12 week process through which the “tenacious ten” planned, organised and will now deliver a 5 day book fair. Everything you will see was created and planned by children. From the catering and refreshments, to the displays and decorating, including the theme days activities, the book ordering, the pricing, the selling, fundraising for the materials etc.
They also hired their own staff to which they allocated roles and tasks and ensured all contributed 100%
WORKING WORLD
Woodfield Junior School is undertaking a pioneering project with strong links to the curriculum in the areas of Financial understanding, PSHE and Citizenship, Mathematics, English and ICT, allowing the children to experience the world of work in the safe environment of their school.

Woodfield Junior School is undertaking a pioneering project.
The Business school is pioneering project with strong links to the curriculum in the areas of Financial understanding, PSHE and Citizenship, Mathematics, English and ICT, allowing the children to experience the world of work in the safe environment of their school. Although based on the Business school model suggested by Scholastic, our model has grown further to establish links with the community, and make it not only a book fair in the school but a fantastic event for the all community.
